I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Supervisor licensed in Ohio with over 15 years of experience working in clinical practice. I began my career as a licensed music therapist in 2003, and after working with clients for several years I realized I wanted to do more. I work with clients who experience a wide range of symptoms and concerns, including mood disorders (Depressive and Bipolar Disorders), anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder), trauma, psychotic disorders, and ADD/ADHD.

My therapy style is non-judgmental, caring and interactive. I strive to be as transparent as possible and am a firm believer that the therapeutic relationship is paramount in the process of healing and growth. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I take the responsibility of seeing beyond labels very seriously. My approach is always steered by having a client-centered approach, and my therapeutic style combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I believe that listening to everyone about what they need from therapy and what their goals are is crucial. I view therapy, including treatment planning, as a collaborative effort to meet each individual's unique and specific needs. There is not a "one size fits all" approach to therapy - I want to meet you where you are at on your journey and walk beside you to achieve happiness, fulfillment, and peace. I strive to find the therapeutic approach that speaks to each individual person.

It takes courage to seek help and be vulnerable with a stranger, and I respect anyone and everyone that takes the first step. I want my clients to feel listened to, cared about, and respected. I know it can be challenging to take the first steps towards change, and I am here to help you work through barriers and fears that have made those first steps difficult. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to empower you with tools and skills that will help you find the happiness and peace you are looking for.

I look forward to being able to hear your story and see the growth and healing first-hand!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
