ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 11 years experience in the mental health care field. I received a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Oakland University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. I have also obtained a Master’s degree in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University, which lends itself to understanding many issues that occur in the workplace including bullying and competition for resources. These workplace issues can result in symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression in some clients. I am also a fully trained and experienced EMDR therapist. I have a diverse background in the mental healthcare field. I have worked with all age clients in an intensive outpatient program, clients in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, seniors in an assisted living environment, and adults ages 18 and up in a large private practice.
WHY WORK WITH A MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL?
Slowing down, if even for an hour, and sharing your story with a professional may help start the process of gaining personal clarity and understanding. You may not be able to change the past, but you may be able to begin to learn from it and move forward. The process of working through traumas with a professional counselor can be liberating. You can learn to establish new ways of thinking, new behaviors, and an improved sense of direction.
Your unique situation deserves to be explored as you experience it. Trouble, chaos, regret, difficulty, trial, cheating, worry, doubt, sadness, and a feeling of brokenness, can all eventually lead to a feelings of powerlessness. Things can improve, there is hope, and I want to join you in your journey toward that improvement. During the counseling process, I desire to walk beside every person who chooses to visit with me. I strive to create a caring and supportive environment where anyone in need of counseling can sit with a mental health professional and regain a sense of control in their lives. Every relationship, every emotion, and every story you are a part of matters – every life is important.
I want to help you reflect on your life events and to help you gain perspective, escape lies, embrace your inner truth, experience joy, and discover or rediscover purpose in your life. If a painful past caused you to embrace and believe a story that just isn’t your truth, then I want to work with you as you discover a realistic perspective of yourself and obtain goals that match that realistic perspective.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Lynne has been quick to respond, listen and help with my counseling. I appreciate her professionalism and support that she has been able to give in such a short time.
Lynne is great- I feel that she is effective in identifying something, diving right in and addressing it. I’ve only been working with Lynne for a short time but we have already begun to make progress.
Lynne is a compassionate and insightful therapist. I enjoy her ability to listen and work with me to make progress. After only two sessions, I feel better and am excited to begin EMDR therapy next week.
Lynne is compassionate and has a great vision for problem solving. She has helped me more than she probably knows. I highly recommend Lynne to anyone who needs help seeing a better future.
Lynne is an excellent listener, and she gets at the heart of core issues. She has helped me to let go of the past and regret, and embrace just being myself. I'm learning to accept who I am, define what I want and do more of what gives me joy. Thanks Lynne!
I have only been working with Lynne for a couple of weeks but she is a deeply caring, professional therapist. I appreciate how she holds space but is equally responsive in terms of offering practical guidance and applications to helping you address your problems. So far, I have found her extremely helpful, knowledgeable, warm, sincere and just plain good at her work. I'm very grateful for what she has offered so far in our limited time together.
Talking to Lynne really helped me understand my anxiety more and gave me the confidence boost I needed to help me move forward in managing my anxiety
As someone who has been in therapy for the majority of their life, I have to give Lynne credit where credit is due. We are just now diving into therapy but I have to say I truly appreciate her attentive, clearly articulated, professional, and thorough responses. It’s obvious she takes her work seriously and has a deep interest in her patients. She is easily reachable and available when needed. She has a great perspective and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking therapy.
