“The best way out is always through.” – Robert Frost

Hello, I’m Monje Moore, a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Your “through” may look like managing anxiety or depression, strengthening relationships, improving self-esteem, navigating parenting challenges, or adjusting to a life transition. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to support you with compassion, understanding, and practical tools that help you move forward.

I have over 30 years of experience in the mental health field and earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Long Island University, as well as a School Counseling certification. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in diverse roles, including clinician, therapeutic counselor, foster parent trainer, parenting skills instructor, school counselor, and school administrator, which allows me to understand clients from many perspectives and life stages.

I work with individuals and families experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), dissociation, neurodevelopmental challenges, and stress related to relationships and life changes.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy, while thoughtfully integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused strategies. Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, focused not just on insight, but on meaningful, lasting change.

I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we will work to improve your quality of life and help you feel more confident, balanced, and resilient.

Monje is an incredible therapist! When I first started seeing her, I wasn’t in a good state in my life. She made my first ever experience in therapy truly great. Through her kind words, smile and knowledge she helped me with my stress, anxiety, and mild depression. The more time we spent together, the more I would look forward to our sessions. She made therapy a safe place, a place where I felt vulnerable but secure at the same time.
