Hello,
Life can have many challenges that often leave us feeling lost, helpless, hopeless, and doubting ourselves. You have made a great choice in reaching out.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia. I have several years of experience as an outpatient therapist, but I have 20 years of experience in a variety of social work settings. My experiences include in-home work with families and children, substance abuse, child protective services, foster care and crisis work.
With compassion and understanding, I will meet you where you are in your journey without judgement! I operate from a strength-based approach to help you identify your strengths and utilize them to greatly enhance your life. We all struggle with issues in our lives and navigating through them can feel like a very lonely journey. I would like to help you. The therapeutic relationship is extremely important for you to feel comfortable in being open and honest. Together will create treatment goals and work collaboratively to help you reach those goals. My clients report that I am easy to engage with and have a true understanding of many of life’s struggles. I enjoy using humor when it is appropriate and can be lighthearted while taking your issues seriously.
I am experienced in working with substance abuse/addictions. I have extensive training and experience working with victims of trauma, sexual abuse, a, senior female population, adjustment to life situations, women’s issues, and family relational problems.

About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
