Hello! My name is Ashley Lynch and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Wisconsin. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2012 in various settings and roles. I approach clinical sessions with an empathetic disposition and make it my goal to meet my clients where they are at. It is my priority to make sure that I am offering a safe space to those who seek me out for counseling. In session, I work with my clients to set up a treatment plan that they feel comfortable with and establish goals that are attainable. My main areas of focus have been anxiety/panic attacks, depression, stress management, end of life/hospice/caregiving, self-esteem, women’s issues, fertility/pregnancy/postpartum, and grief.

In session, I incorporate combinations of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques. Additionally, I like to provide psychoeducation to help the individuals I am working with better understand the symptoms they are experiencing. Lastly, there may be times when I incorporate laughter into a session when appropriate. I have found that this builds rapport, reduces stress and anxiety, changes perspective, and releases tension. It is an honor to walk alongside individuals as they navigate highs and lows of life and this is something I do not take lightly. I am happy to assist, support, and encourage!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
