I am licensed, and located in the UK and have been in practice for over 13 years. My training has spanned 9 years, which includes two Pg. Diplomas, and a Masters in psychotherapy.

I am an integrative psychotherapist (psychodynamic/person centred/CBT and family systemic approaches) and I will utilise these to meet your therapeutic needs. I completed by Systemic training at the Tavistock Centre in London.

I also have a good understanding in Transactional Analysis and solution focused/coaching styles, I am also eligible for ICF ACC accreditation.

I have a wide range of experience in helping clients with a range of difficulties, including, but not limited to, stress, anxiety and depression, and draw on my training in systemic family approaches to work with trauma, relationship issues, abuse and intergenerational patterns of trauma within families. This approach can also be helpful in understanding and supporting with workplace bullying and abuse too.

In addition, I am experienced in parenting issues, having been the mental health lead for a cross county counselling service within the UK, which supports families and parents who have struggled with their mental health. I have also been a staff counsellor within the NHS and have worked within a secondary mental health hospital, in the UK.

I believe people are unique and treat them as such. I will listen attentively and be non-judgmental in the counselling relationship. I am committed to personal and professional development which enables me to work ethically in accordance with the BACP.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and will do my professional best to support you in our counselling relationship.

If you have any questions please do come back to me, I am more than happy to answer the questions that are not covered here in this brief introduction.

I look forward to working with you,

Emma
