What a great lady! Love talking to her every week, she’s wise beyond her years and truly loves her clients

Kristin is a great therapist. She is kind and thorough. She gives me homewaork and I like that! She is pleasant yet has the ability to confront me on my issues which I think is necessary for me to be able to grow and change. She listens to what I need to talk about and gives solutions rather than a therapist who just listens and doesn’t help the direction of the conversation. I highly recommend Kristen!!!

More about Kristin

  • 10 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 10 years of professional work experience. I have worked with clients to help them heal and cope with a wide range of mental health issues including depression, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders. I have experience treating adult and adolescent clients with diverse cultural backgrounds who deal with grief, conflict in relationships, and work/school stressors, among other challenges. I believe the most effective growth of an individual happens during self-exploration, and my job is to be the guide.

I utilize a foundation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and integrate a person-centered approach. In addition to this, some modalities I incorporate into my practice include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and mindfulness techniques.

For your treatment, my hope is that you gain a new perspective, skills to cope with life's stressors, and the ability to challenge negative beliefs that no longer serve you. I understand how difficult it can be to seek help, and I am here to support you in your healing process.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I had my first therapy session with Kristen this morning. I felt comfortable with her right away. She was professional and has a lot of experience and could tell that right away but it was combined with compassion and a sincere desire to help me and be available for me in messaging! I’m grateful I connected right away!
