About Me:

Hi, I’m Andrew — a counsellor and psychotherapist who specialises in grief, loss and life changes. And just so we’re on the same page:

Grief isn’t only about death.

People often come to me carrying losses that aren’t always visible or understood. Loss can show up in so many ways, including:

• the end of a relationship or friendship

• changes in identity, confidence or direction

• the impact of drug or alcohol use — losing stability, trust, connection or a sense of self

• the emotional toll of mental health struggles

• changes in health, work or life plans

• feeling disconnected from who you used to be

• the quiet sadness that comes with big transitions

These experiences can be just as painful and disorienting as bereavement, and they deserve the same level of care and attention.

My style is warm, steady and down‑to‑earth. I offer a space where you can talk openly, make sense of what you’re feeling, and take things at your own pace. There’s no pressure to “move on” or “get over it” — just room to explore what’s happening and what you need right now.

I draw from trauma‑informed practice and Person Centred Therapy, but mostly I focus on you — your story, your emotions, and the parts of your life that feel heavy or confusing.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward, I’m here to support you as you navigate whatever loss or change you’re facing, whether it’s visible to others or not.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
