Bereavement, Anxiety & Burnout Therapy for Grief, Loss & Life-Altering Illness

About Me:

I specialise in supporting people who are navigating bereavement, grief, and the emotional impact of life-altering illness. These experiences often affect every part of life—bringing not only deep sadness and loss, but also anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and difficulty adjusting to a changed sense of identity or future.

Many of the people I work with describe feeling like they are “coping on the outside” while internally struggling with exhaustion, worry, or a sense of emotional disconnection following significant life events.

Alongside grief and illness-related work, I also support clients experiencing anxiety, burnout, and overthinking—particularly when these difficulties are connected to loss, illness, or major life transitions.

What I Help With

I commonly support clients experiencing:

Bereavement and grief at any stage

Complicated or prolonged grief responses

Adjustment to life-altering illness (self or loved one)

Anticipatory grief and emotional distress before or after loss

Anxiety and persistent overthinking are linked to life stress or loss

Burnout, emotional exhaustion, and overwhelm

Difficulty coping with major life transitions

My Approach

My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and psychodynamic understanding depending on your needs.

Therapy is a collaborative space where we work at your pace. There is no expectation to “move on” quickly—instead, we focus on helping you process what has happened, understand the emotional impact, and gradually rebuild a sense of stability and control.

Alongside emotional processing, we also work on practical coping strategies to help reduce anxiety, manage overwhelm, and support day-to-day functioning.

Who I Work Best With

This may be a good fit if you are:

Coping with bereavement or significant loss

Adjusting to serious illness (your own or a loved one’s)

Experiencing anxiety, burnout, or emotional exhaustion

Struggling with overthinking or persistent worry

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected after major life changes

Looking for structured but compassionate therapeutic support

What You Can Expect

Sessions provide a steady, supportive space to explore your experiences without judgment or pressure. We take things at a pace that feels manageable for you, focusing on making sense of what you are going through while helping you feel more grounded, emotionally supported, and able to cope day-to-day.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
