If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or stuck in your head. You might be functioning on the outside while everything inside feels tight, heavy, or constantly on edge. Maybe you’re tired of explaining yourself. Maybe being on camera feels like too much. Or maybe you just need someone to talk to who understands how hard it can be to carry this alone.

I’m Candice, a licensed mental health counselor, and I offer therapy through audio and phone sessions only. For many people, this is a relief in itself. Without a camera, there’s less pressure to perform, make eye contact, or manage how you look. Your nervous system can settle. You can talk while lying down, pacing, or sitting quietly. You can focus on what you’re feeling instead of how you’re being perceived.

My work is grounded in helping your system calm down first, because clarity and change come more easily when you feel safe. I work with anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, and the kind of stress that builds up over time when you’ve had to hold yourself together for too long. We slow things down, make sense of what your mind and body have been doing to cope, and gently create more steadiness so daily life feels more manageable.

You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal to start. You don’t need to be “good” at therapy. This is a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel met, not pushed. Relief doesn’t come from trying harder — it comes from feeling supported enough to finally exhale.

If you’re looking for therapy that feels calming, private, and human, and audio sessions feel like the easiest way to begin, I’d be glad to work with you.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
