I began my career as a lived experience worker within Qld Health over 15years ago and so I understand first hand the challenges that can come from navigating the mental health systems and accessing appropriate supports, particularly when unwell. My own lived experience of chronic ill mental health has heavily influenced my career and the way I engage with those I support. I whole heartedly believe that while we can have very similar experiences, the way those experiences impact and shape us are completely different and so too is the journey to mental wellbeing.

I have worked extensively within government and non-government agencies and understand the complexity that is often encountered when navigating these systems and so I have began to offer advocacy support as an additional service. I am able to offer complex report writing for court or NDIS in addition domestic violence perpetrator mapping through the use of domestic violence informed Safe and Together model which can be used to support family court applications and cases. I also provide functional capacity assessments utilising the Allen's model of cognitive function.

My area's of interest including parenting and parental capacity building, chronic and complex mental health, addictions and relapse prevention planning and recovery coaching.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
