I had my first session with Bethan a couple of days ago. I was very nervous, not knowing what to expect, and first time in therapy. All I can say is that Bethan completely put me at ease virtually from the start of the session, she has a relaxed, empathetic and helpful and understanding way about her. I'm now looking forward to my next session and being able to move onwards and upwards! I would highly recommend Bethan.

I am a psychotherapist, but first I am a human who genuinely wants to understand your world and not tell you how to live it. I am never the expert on your life. You are. My role is to sit beside you with real curiosity, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself you have learned to quiet, hide or carry alone.
People usually find me when they feel stuck between who they have had to be and who they want to become. You might feel overwhelmed, shut down, numb or simply exhausted from performing “I am fine” when it is not true. Whatever you bring, I will meet you exactly where you are without pressure or pretence.
How I Work:
Therapy with me is warm, grounded and a little bit creative. We slow things down. We get curious together. We pay attention to what your body is doing, not only your thoughts. If words feel difficult, we can use metaphor, drawing or simple expressive tools to bring your inner world to life.
You do not need to be artistic. These methods simply create enough distance so that your thoughts and feelings feel safer to approach.
I use a blend of person centred work, emotional work, somatic awareness and parts based therapy. We tailor everything to you, not the other way around.
I tend to work with people who are feeling:
- a sense of “who am I right now” or identity wobbles
- emotionally overwhelmed or stuck in overthinking
- low mood, flatness or a loss of connection with themselves
- a drop in confidence or self esteem that feels hard to explain
- patterns in relationships that keep repeating
- the weight of big life changes and transitions
You do not need to arrive with the perfect explanation. Most people begin with a feeling.
“I do not feel like myself.”
“I am tired of holding everything up.”
“I cannot put it into words, but something feels off.”
That is enough. We can make sense of it together.
What You Can Expect From Me:
I am real, open and fully myself in the therapy space. I bring honesty that is kind, curiosity that does not fade when things get uncomfortable, and a sense of humour when it helps you breathe again. You do not need to perform with me or be the “together” version of yourself.
I am not here to fix you from a distance (or at all!). We figure things out side by side. We get to know the different parts of you, the loud ones and the quiet ones, and we help them start working together rather than pulling you in every direction.
If you want therapy that feels human, grounded and genuinely collaborative, I am here.
Training and Qualifications
I hold a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling with Contemporary Creative Approaches. I also have a BSc in Psychology. I am fully registered as a psychotherapist in the UK (MNCPS Accred.). Alongside this, I have completed additional training and ongoing CPD in a range of therapeutic approaches that support my relational, somatic and expressive style of work.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
