Danielle is an exceptional therapist. She has been a massive support in my healing process and I couldn’t recommend her enough. She is a brilliant listener who allows space and time for you to fully express yourself and your feelings, while finding the right timing to guide you through your emotions and allow you to understand and process in a productive manner. She is extremely kind and empathetic and immediately creates a safe and comfortable space that has made it easy to open up and feel at ease diving into difficult topics. I will be continuing on with Danielle for the foreseeable future and hope that she can continue to help others as she has helped me.

About Me

I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have experience supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds and with a variety of personal circumstances and emotional difficulties. Alongside my private practice, I have gained valuable experience through charitable counselling services and online therapy, allowing me to develop a warm, adaptable and individual approach to therapeutic work.

My professional background spans over 10 years within the mental health and healthcare sectors, including experience within a secure adult forensic ward and NHS GP surgeries. During my time working as a Senior Team Leader within an NHS GP surgery, I saw first-hand the impact that emotional and mental health difficulties can have on individuals and families, as well as the importance of accessible and appropriate support. This experience ultimately led me to undertake over four years of professional training to qualify as an Integrative Counsellor.

I now provide both face-to-face and online counselling, offering a flexible service that can be adapted to each client’s individual circumstances and preferences.

Areas of Experience

I have experience working with a broad range of presenting issues, including:

* Anxiety, stress and overthinking

* Depression and low mood

* Low self-worth and self-esteem

* Relationship and communication difficulties

* Infidelity, separation and divorce

* Grief, loss and resentment

* Overwhelm and burnout

* Historic and emotional trauma

* Life changes and transitions

* Difficult emotions and patterns of behaviour

I have also worked with clients with learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties, and ADHD. I recognise that everyone experiences and processes things differently, and I aim to adapt my approach to ensure therapy feels accessible, comfortable and appropriate for each individual.

My Therapeutic Approach

As an Integrative Therapist, I draw upon different therapeutic approaches depending on the individual and what feels most helpful for them. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

My role is not to tell you what you should do or provide quick solutions, but to offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.

I work collaboratively with clients, taking the time to understand their individual story and the emotions and experiences that may sit beneath the difficulties they are facing. Together, we can explore patterns, develop greater self-understanding and work towards meaningful change.

I aim to create a warm and supportive therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard, understood and accepted for who you are.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
