I started counseling after many life experiences, including nearly 20 years of public service in the military and State government. I went into the counseling field with a desire to help others based on my own past experiences. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor since 2014 and a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2022. My areas of specialization expanded from substance abuse to other areas, including anxiety, depression and trauma. I believe everyone is their own expert on how to change - sometimes we just need a different perspective. I take a holistic approach to supporting change. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but also integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as talk therapy.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing anything related to “the great outdoors,” including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and wind-therapy on my Harley.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
