I'm an LICSW with over a decade of experience, practicing in Alabama. It is one of my core beliefs that every person has worth, value, and the potential for change and healing. I am dedicated to helping people as they navigate the complicated and often overwhelming circumstances in life.
My approach to therapy is holistic and integrated. I consider the person in their environment and draw from numerous evidence-based therapeutic techniques and theories, to ensure that my clients are given the most helpful and impactful support available.
Having worked in various settings, with people from many different walks of life, I am conscious of the cultural and systemic factors that can impact a person's circumstances, including their support systems, mental and emotional health, and worldview. I have lived and worked in other countries advocating for human rights, assisted marginalized groups in accessing supportive services, and provided counseling to children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. I have experience working in healthcare, within the school system, with foster-care and adoption, in underserved communities, and in private counseling.
My goal is to provide tools and support in a safe, non-judgmental space, where you can explore your circumstances, emotions, and relationships openly without fear, shame, or guilt. Together, we'll work to identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and learn skills to help you move toward meaningful growth.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
