Dr. Allen was very attentive and listened carefully to the situation. She made good assessments and I am interested in her therapy techniques.

Reviewed April 2026

Dr. Allen's direct approach has helped me confront personal issues that I had buried very deep from my past. She has a firm but humorous way of bringing issues to my attention and she supports it with the latest research. Though she comes off strong and direct, it's something I feel is necessary to my personal growth. When searching for a therapist, I didn't want one who agreed with me. I needed someone to get me out of my own head and show me that there are different perspectives I could consider and she fits that criteria. If you want to make real changes in your life, then Dr. Allen is the right fit. You have to do the work and be open to change.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
