I havr "interviewed" several therapist over the past 2 and a half years, 2 being right here on Betterhelp, and don't get me wrong they were all absolutely amazing. But my life and my situation in it calls for a unicorn if you will. And not only does she understand my day to day and my ups and downs, she is a real bulldog (I mean that in the most endearing way) because I have a horrible habit of letting what doctors or therapist say go in 1 ear and out the other. She doesn't tolerate that and her experience treating I'm sure other woman that are or have been in my situation that I'm not being told to do things that quite literally put myself in the line of fire to potentially get hurt. Whereas in the past, I've had therapists that said they were qualified to help patients with things like CP. TSD and anxiety and healing from domestic violence and abuse of relationships only to immediately recommend things that would amplify the danger that I would be putting myself into. She listens, she cares and I literally recommend better help to everyone. I know, because it was getting too difficult to actually go. Sit at a therapist office. I have a crazy schedule and 2 boys in college. My youngest with autism, I barely find time just to get my annual physicals. Let alone go sit in a therapist's office once a week or once every two weeks. So having the option to do it virtually has been a game changer for me. There's no difference than sitting in front of her or sitting in front of her on a device. It's very inclusive and still very personal. I honestly found my unicorn.

Julia is a great listener and I appreciate how she is a good balance of being both caring and sensitive but also firm and realistic. I felt better after talking with her and felt like she gave me realistic expectations for myself. I highly recommend her as a therapist.
