I firmly believe that every individual has what it takes to overcome stumbling blocks, and to create for yourself a life you are proud to live. My job as a therapist is to help you identify your unique characteristics, and ways they can be built upon to create your new path. I am an expert in my field, and you are an expert in your own life. Together, our teamwork can provide a safe place for you to get to know yourself better, and to create plans of action for letting yourself shine in your environment. I value the process of building a positive support network, and using resources available to you to enhance your natural talents and skills. I will be active in helping you shape your plan for maintaining and continuing to grow your achievements even after our partnership comes to a close. Our goal in working together is setting the stage for your long-term personal flourishing.
I have always had a passion for helping individuals and families achieve goals, and maximize potential. I bring creativity, enthusiasm and a strengths-based perspective to any task we tackle together. My goal is to help you figure out what's working well, and help you identify ways to build upon that to accomplish the improvements you hope for your life.
Following my undergrad, I worked closely with children and families in their homes as a family-based caseworker for Child Protective Services. During those three years, I was able to partner with families to meet basic needs and obtain resources that promote healthy family dynamics, mental health and a positive lifestyle. Through this experience I also engaged in extensive partnerships with social and justice systems, which nurtured my eagerness to connect families to helpful resources, including a positive social support network when possible.
I began work as a master's level mental health counseling intern in 2017. Throughout my internship and after graduating with my Master's degree in 2018, I have enjoyed opportunities to host both in-office and community-based services. These experiences taught me the value of incorporating input and support from those who have a meaningful impact on your life into the therapeutic process. I know that the creativity and innovation we bring into our partnership will allow us to continue building positive change with those who are most important to you, including family, friends, teachers, school counselors and other prominent individuals who have a positive influence in your life!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
