Hello, and welcome. Im Tammie a licensed therapist in both Michigan and Maine, and I believe that finding the right therapist is about more than credentials t’s about finding someone you feel comfortable talking to, someone who listens, and someone you can genuinely connect with.

A little about me personally: I’m a mom of teenage daughters and a proud dog mom, so I understand that life can be rewarding, complicated, messy, and sometimes all of those things at once. I bring that same real-world understanding into the therapeutic space. I’m passionate about helping people recognize their resilience, particularly during seasons when they may have difficulty seeing that strength within themselves.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, relationship and family challenges, and significant life transitions. My role is not to tell you how to live your life or to assume that I have all the answers. You are the expert on your experiences. My role is to walk alongside you, ask meaningful questions, help you explore patterns and possibilities, and provide support and clinical tools that can help you move toward the changes you want to make.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and individualized. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and safe enough to show up as yourself even when you are still figuring out exactly what you need. Together, we can identify your strengths, work through the challenges that brought you to therapy, and build practical strategies that support resilience, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of purpose.

You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Sometimes being willing to begin the conversation is enough. I look forward to meeting you and learning how I can support you along the way.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
