Hello, and welcome. I'm Amanda, a qualified Mental Health Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist with more than 15 years of experience supporting adults through life's challenges.
Seeking support can feel like a big step, especially if you've spent a long time putting everyone else's needs before your own. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, struggling in relationships, carrying the effects of past trauma, or simply feeling disconnected from the person you want to be, therapy can provide a safe place to pause, reflect, and move forward.
I believe that healing happens within a genuine therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. Together we'll explore what's happening in your life, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop practical strategies that help you create lasting change.
I have extensive experience supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and trauma, including childhood trauma, family violence, sexual trauma, attachment wounds, and PTSD. I also have a particular interest in supporting women navigating midlife, identity changes, caregiving pressures, and the emotional weight of always feeling like they have to be the strong one.
Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Resource Therapy (parts work), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approaches, mindfulness, somatic techniques, and Polyvagal-informed interventions to support nervous system regulation.
You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We will work at a pace that feels safe for you, celebrating progress along the way while gently working through the challenges that brought you here.
My hope is that by the end of our work together you'll not only feel relief from your current struggles, but also develop a deeper understanding of yourself, greater emotional resilience, and confidence in creating a life that feels more authentic and meaningful.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
