Hello! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in New York State. Over the past 20+ years I have worked with individuals in a variety of settings. When I work with you in individual therapy, I try to understand where you would like to go and what you find to be interfering with that journey. My approach includes both a focus on the present issues and situations as well as past experiences that are causing you confusion, anxiety or depression. Trauma and other life experiences tend to become interwoven with present problems. Understanding this gives us space to help develop alternate perspectives, revise the story that is contributing to current distress and help you understand troubling situations in a more helpful way. I use approaches based on ACT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness and other theories as they may seem useful in your particular life situation. Everyone's struggles are different, and this work is fascinating for that reason. It is a pleasure to help people find their way out of stuck situations so they can move toward a more fulfilling phase of their life journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
